Product Overview

Designed for 45-120HP skid-steers with a compact structure, this backhoe has a maximum digging depth of 9′2″, and additional bucket sizes are available.

Its curved boom protects the backhoe from unnecessary damage while preventing the ground from falling back into the hole. Dual cylinders deliver strong, consistent movement across the entire 180-degree range.

Maintenance is easy, as all pivot points come with greasable pins; plus, hardened steel bushings are installed on all main pivot points to reduce wear.

Easy-to-use hydraulic stabilizers help prevent tipping, and the bucket teeth are replaceable—swap out worn or damaged ones to get back to work quickly.

A universal quick attach plate enables easy connection to most skid-steers.

When the boom swings to its extreme ends, rubber pads cushion it for a controlled stop, and rubber footpads on the stabilizers keep their teeth from tearing up your driveway.

FAQs

Will the BHS920 backhoe attachment fit my skid steer?

The Farmry BHS920 is designed for 45–120 HP skid steers and uses a universal skid steer quick-attach mounting system. Before ordering, confirm your machine's quick-attach interface, auxiliary hydraulic flow and pressure, lift capacity, operating weight, and manufacturer limits. A compatible mounting plate alone does not guarantee hydraulic or operating compatibility, so both machine and attachment specifications should be checked before purchase.

What hydraulic flow and pressure does the BHS920 require?

The BHS920 requires 5–7 GPM of hydraulic flow with a specified operating pressure of 2,320 PSI, and a flow divider is included. Always compare these requirements with your skid steer's auxiliary hydraulic specifications before connecting or operating the attachment. For more help understanding GPM, PSI, and attachment compatibility, see our Skid Steer Attachment Hydraulic Flow Guide.

How deep can the BHS920 skid steer backhoe dig?

The BHS920 has a maximum digging depth of 9 ft 4 in, while its digging depth at a 2-ft flat bottom is 9 ft 2 in. It also provides 143 in of reach from the swing post, 3,635 lbs of bucket digging force, and 2,940 lbs of dipper boom digging force. This combination makes it well suited for deeper trenching, drainage, ditch maintenance, landscaping, and general excavation. Learn more about digging depth, reach, and backhoe sizing in our Backhoe Dimensions Guide.

What is the 18-inch bucket best used for?

The BHS920 includes an 18-inch digging bucket, which is well suited for wider drainage trenches, French drains, larger pipe installations, ditch cleaning, and moving more material per pass. For hard clay, rocky ground, or narrow utility trenches, a narrower compatible bucket may provide better digging control. See our Backhoe Bucket Width Guide to compare 12", 15", and 18" backhoe buckets for different digging applications.

Does the BHS920 include a grapple thumb?

Yes. The BHS920 includes a grapple thumb for handling materials that are difficult to manage with the bucket alone. It can help grip and move rocks, roots, tree limbs, brush, and other irregular debris, adding useful material-handling capability for land clearing, landscaping, property cleanup, and excavation projects.

How is the BHS920 shipped and what warranty is included?

The BHS920 ships from a Farmry U.S. warehouse in a protective wooden crate, with current delivery estimated at 11–14 business days. The shipping package measures approximately 66 × 30 × 85 in and weighs approximately 1,629 lbs. The BHS920 also includes Farmry's 12-month manufacturer's warranty, with U.S.-based customer support and spare-parts assistance available after purchase.
