Hardened Steel Bushings

Backhoe pivot points (pins and pin bosses) wear under high loads, causing loose, rattling boom/dipper/bucket—a common issue for backhoes/excavators. Replacing only worn pins won’t restore performance—pin bosses wear too.
Farmry solves this with replaceable bushings pressed into pin bosses: swapping pins and bushings returns the backhoe to original condition, protecting your investment (no permanent boom slop without this feature). Ordinarily exclusive to standalone units, this feature is standard on all Farmry backhoe attachments.

The swing arc feels wide enough for trench work, and the bucket teeth bite well. I might add LED work lights for night use, but that’s just preference. The machine itself is strong.

We dug footings for a new shed using the machine. It handled packed clay and even some small rocks without slowing down. The boom feels stiff and well-braced. I called customer support once for a torque spec and they answered the phone quickly.

We have rocky soil and I was unsure whether a PTO-driven backhoe would struggle. The BH820 got through it. I won’t say it’s as fast as a big commercial machine, but it never stalled out. For a family farm, it’s more than enough.

The machine is heavier built than I expected. It works with my 45 HP tractor and has enough reach to clean out our pond bank. It arrived on a pallet and nothing was damaged. The controls feel steady, not jerky. A good choice for anyone needing more digging depth.

My tractor used to be just a tractor. With the BH820 on the back, it suddenly looks like it means business.

This independent system ensures smooth valve response, even when operating multiple cylinders for swing, dipper, and stabilizers—all without risking leaks or power loss from your tractor’s stock hydraulics.

How stable is the BH820 when digging or loading dirt in tight spots?

The BH820’s dual hydraulic stabilizers extend to a wide stabilizer spread, keeping the machine steady in any down position.

How to check if the PTO extender needed or not if purchasing tractor powerer backhoe?

For the backhoe models compatible with certain tractor versions (BH600, BH600 PRO, BH700, BH700 PRO, BH820, BH820 PRO, BH920, and BH920 PRO), interference may occur during installation between the PTO pump and the tractor, preventing full engagement with the tractor’s PTO shaft (see left figure below).
When purchasing the above models, please pay close attention to the following:

1. Ensure there is sufficient clearance around your tractor’s PTO shaft (as shown in the right figure below, with a dimension of 7-3/4").

2. Please refer to the following dimensional specifications of the PTO pump to verify compatibility with the PTO shaft area on the rear of your tractor.

3. The PTO pump cannot be installed if any components are located within the shaded area of the pulley pump (dimensions: 160×224 mm / 6.3×8.8 inches) when mounting to the tractor’s PTO shaft area.
If insufficient clearance exists due to the above conditions, a PTO driveline extender will be required.(see above right picture)
