Product Overview

Designed for 25-45HP tractors, this compact 3-point linkage backhoe has a 7' max digging depth and optional additional compact bucket sizes. Its curved boom protects the backhoe from unnecessary damage and stops soil from falling back into the hole, while dual cylinders deliver strong, consistent movement across the full 180-degree range. All pivot points have greasable pins for easy maintenance, with main pivot points fitted with hardened steel bushings to reduce wear. Easy-to-use hydraulic stabilizers help prevent tipping; replaceable bucket teeth let users quickly swap worn or damaged ones to resume work fast. When the boom swings to extreme ends, rubber pads cushion it to a controlled stop, and rubber footpads on stabilizers keep their teeth from tearing up driveways.

I used to borrow equipment from my neighbor every time I needed a trench. Now he comes to borrow mine. The BH700 has more power than I expected. The only thing I’d recommend is having a set of wooden pads under the stabilizers if you’re on loose gravel, otherwise it’s been nothing but solid.

After years of renting equipment, I finally purchased my own backhoe and chose the machine. Shipping was fast and everything showed up intact on a pallet. I used it to repair a broken water line and dig a trench for power cables. The controls take a little getting used to, but once you get a feel for it, the work goes fast.

The BH700 saved days of digging by hand. The bucket teeth bite well into compacted dirt. I didn’t have to make any special modifications to install it. If you’re running a small-to-mid tractor and just need dependable work done, it gets the job done.

I run a 30-acre cattle farm and bought the machine to maintain our drainage lines. It hooked up to my 32 HP tractor without any issues. Digging depth matched what was advertised, and the boom feels strong when working in packed soil. I contacted Farmry before ordering, and their team verified the machine model I required. Glad I went with this one.

The backhoe handled the jobs smoothly. No leaks, no loose pins, nothing missing from the crate. For a small farm like mine, it’s a good investment.

FAQs

1. What makes the Farmry BH700 3 point hitch grapple backhoe different from a standard backhoe loader?

Unlike a typical loader backhoe, the Farmry BH700 combines a hydraulic grapple thumb with a curved rear excavator arm—giving you full dig-grab-dump capability. The dual-cylinder swing design and precision bucket rotation allow smooth motion through the entire 180-degree range, even in tight spots. It’s a self-contained system with its own iron pump, hydraulic tank, and Joint Industrial Council (JIC) fittings, so you don’t depend on your tractor’s hydraulic flow. The result? Cleaner lines, higher pressure consistency, and greater digging depth with less strain on your tractor frame.

2. How durable is the BH700’s construction for long-term ground-engagement jobs?

Farmry engineered the BH700 with CNC laser-cut steel, grease fittings, and replaceable hardened bushings at all pivot joints—delivering exceptional durability and precision. Each shovel pivot, foldable support leg, and bucket hinge is reinforced for maximum load strength and controlled swing motion. The sturdy construction stands firmly on all terrain, from rocky soil to wet dirt, while rubber footpads keep the stabilizers from damaging driveways. With proper maintenance and lubrication, this attachment keeps performing job after job on any construction site or landscaping project.

3. Can the hydraulic hoses and pump handle constant operation under pressure?

Yes. The BH700’s 5,000-psi JIC hydraulic hoses and cast-iron PTO pump are built to handle continuous hydraulic pressure without leaks or performance loss. The self-contained hydraulic system eliminates compatibility issues with tractor hydraulics, ensuring stable flow, line pressure, and lifting force every time you operate. Every hose, fitting, and pin is easy to replace with standard replacement parts—so downtime is minimal, and your crew stays driven on the job.

4. How does the hydraulic grapple thumb improve productivity on construction or farm sites?

The hydraulic grapple thumb transforms your backhoe from a simple digger into a true multi-tool machine. It lets you grab, lift, and dump logs, rocks, or debris without ever leaving the operator’s seat. When paired with the wide bucket and rear excavator arm, you get smoother bucket rotation, more precise control over dirt and load movement, and faster clean-up. The grapple also works perfectly for landscaping, storm cleanup, and utility trenching, reducing manual labor while improving cycle times and safety.

5. Is the BH700 grapple backhoe easy to attach and operate on my tractor?

Absolutely. Designed for Category 1 and 2 three-point hitch systems, this backhoe attachment connects quickly to most 25–45 HP tractors. Its self-contained design means no complicated hydraulic tie-ins—just slide the PTO pump onto the spline, lock it with the safety chain, and you’re ready to dig. The foldable support legs and center-line alignment make mounting simple and safe. Even a first-time operator can power up, swing the rear excavator arm, and start moving dirt with confidence. And the best part: all movable parts, from front shovel to bucket, are designed for real-world use, not just display—though with its detailed construction and clean lines, it looks as cool as any toy digger truck.
