How does a Skid Steer stump grinder work?
1. Installation Stage
The skid steer stump grinder exists as an attachment. It first connects mechanically to the skid steer loader via the loader’s quick coupler. At the same time, it links to the loader’s hydraulic system to get the power required for operation, achieving integrated assembly with the host machine.
2. Commissioning Stage
After installation, the operator drives the skid steer loader to the target stump. Using the host machine’s controls, they adjust the initial height of the grinder’s cutting wheel to ensure accurate alignment of the equipment and smooth operation.
3. Operation Stage
Once commissioned, the hydraulic system drives the cutting wheel (equipped with cemented carbide teeth) to rotate at high speed.
